Its about a girl named Sonya Windyer who has endured years of torment with her creator, Thomas Creis. She learns how to heal thanks to a secret tutor, Shane Dorstiaz. Within her 234th birthday, Sonya is helped by a few friends and makes her escape away from Thomas. After traveling for so long, she comes upon a little village in which she makes new friends, two ancient vampires, a changeling, and a dhampire.
