each brand of laptop uses their own drivers and it'll be dangerous installing another brand's recover disk because it might destroy the recovery files in your hard disk. since your laptop has a vista license, you can use a non-branded vista and enter your HP's serial when asked.
i'm using lil brother's HP now. there are stickers on the wrist pad. it says, "Penabled wacom", "ATI Radeon" and "AMD Athlon X2 64" and it comes with Vista 64-bit. pressing [windows key] + [fn] + [pause] keys.

No. I would've looked for it but here's the deal. I found it and it's for GATEWAYS. You need the one for HPs or w/e you have. There's no model specification, just brand. So if you know anyone with a new HP get it offa them. Otherwise you can try with the Gateway one. Afterall, what have you got to lose? You can always redo the factory reset.
