About

Dave Strider is a friend of John Egbert in Homestuck. He is obsessed with being cool, which manifests itself in his unceasing pursuit of new ironic depths. When the original name "Insufferable p***k" was about to be suggested, he slashed the entry box right in half with a Ninja Sword because he's just way too cool to put up with that kind of bullshit.
On Pesterchum his Chumhandle is turntechGodhead. He has Pesterchum Version 7.0 as opposed to John's 6.0. His web browser of choice is Hephaestus.

His Associated Classical Element is Fire, as indicated by his web browser and the weather outside his house, and his Associated Item is Amber.

{Thank you for the kind words! <3}

So he'd found a blind spot after all. The boy was certainly more preceptive than Medusa had given him credit for. Perhaps he still held the potential to be a proper assassin one day...
Who was she kidding. This was a fight, not a day back at Shibusen as a nurse. Definitely not the time for flattering the opponent. She hit the floor, still in a state of shock from having been hit so unexpectedly.

{You really think so? ;3; This whole time I've been guessing ><;}
All the noise; the random movements, even for Black*Star this seemed a bit too messy of a fighting style. Closing her eyes to concentrate, she summoned vectors. More and more serpentine arrows building up all around her like a wall. Opening her eyes and raising and arm, she signalled to vectors to simultaneously fire of in their respective directions.
"Vector Arrow!!"

The heavy smoke made it almost impossible to see. Did the boy flee? or was he simply hiding to attempt an ambush? Medusa didn't know, but she kept herself in a defensive position as she waited for the smoke to fade, or for any signs of movement. Whichever came first.

The distance between the witch and the meister was closing, which meant she would have to use mid- to short-ranged magic.
Or move from her location and gain more distance. Touching onto the ground, she stabilized herself until the meister came closer, closer...

"Vector Plate!" She hadn't meant for it to sound as desperate of a move at it had come out, nonetheless all she could really do was fight to survive.
Again.
The vector plate pushed her to the left, onto another, onto another, onto another, until she finally reached the last plate at the end of the chain, leaving her to be behind the boy rather than being charged at.

She smirked, slightly relieved to have gotten a hit in. Medusa wouldn't allow a mere child to claim victory, let alone leave unscathed. As the Vector Arrows were successful the previous time she tried once more, however this time the vectors formed a T-like shape.
"Vector Arrow!"

She studied his movements carefully, even his reactions seemed to come at a high speed. She watched his hand as it sparked up- Sparks? No, it was certainly his Soul Wavelength. She'd felt the force of a move like that once before, and it was definitely a force she wasn't willing to be hit by. Raising her arms, she summoned five snake-like vectors. One in each basic direction: Up, Down, Left, Right, and one right in the center of them all.
"Vector Arrow!"

The cyan-haired boy was quick, she gave him that. Extremely quick, even. Perhaps he wasn't to be underestimated after all, he was the last living member of the Star clan, and they were known for their agile combat and assassination skills.
But she was Medusa Gorgon, her own category among witches. She analyzed the area quickly, pointing to a spot on the ground with her magic.
"Vector Plate!" she summoned a backwards-pointing Vector Plate between herself and the rushing boy, curious to see if he was quick enough to avoid any abrupt attacks.

She honestly couldn't help but laugh. Did the boy honestly think he'd get very far. Even the great Franken Stein, supposedly the best Meister ever to have graduated from Shibusen, had diffiulties (and in the end, temporarily succeeded) in his attack. What made this...this brat, think he could ever compare? He was rash, and that made for the perfect opportunity to use some vector plates against him. Taking off her Soul Protect to allow for a wider attack range, she too readied herself.
" 'Try', I believe is the keyword."

{...Just a head's-up, I've never actually DONE a fight-RP before, therefore forgive me if I suck XD;;;;;;;;;;}

{Oh god, this'll be interesting. Haven't done an IC RP with a Black*Star since my days as Spartoi!Maka o.o;}

Medusa arched a thin brow, curious as to what the loud boy could have possibly wanted. Knowing Black Star, it would be none-too-surprising if he was looking to fight her in order to prove that he was "the best". However, if that was what he wanted, then Medusa would be likely to have the upper hand. She'd read his files, along with those of many other weaons and meisters, back in her Nurse days. Not only that, but he hadn't been in combat with a skilled witch...To her knowledge at any rate.
"Well, if it isn't the esteemed Black*Star..." If he got cocky, the Witch reasoned, then he'd be more likely to slip up. "What can I do for you?"
