Why is it that whenever I'm about to get a decent score on pinball something happens and I end up with nothing?

Well, I've got an award. I've got not clue what it's for, but still, it's a national award and I earned it.

The award came with a certificate and a medal, and the medal came with a ribbon. Of course, it's the only medal and only ribbon I've gotten thus far, but still, most people don't get those ones, so I've got a decent reason to be happy.
