BASICALLY ME...
Heya, if you're reading this, you're either thinking: "Wow, Night got off his lazy arse and actually wrote something here," or you're just confused at why this "About Me" paragraph opened so awkwardly and why it lacks the cute little tone that profiles seems to adopt when their owner is talking about themselves. Well, you won't be seeing any of that here.
My name is Patrick, my friends call me Trick, I'm eighteen and live in Great Britain. Most people agree that I act like someone who's 22, but that's because most people don't see me when I'm extremely loose ^_- Not to say that the few of you 22-year-olds out there don't know how to get loose.
I consider myself a well-rounded person. I'm a intellectual generalist, a drama geek, a pro at first-person shooters, a guitar player, an IB student, and Captain of C-C and Track. I like all school subjects expect Foreign Languages--That crap pisses me off! >=(
Most people say something about Manga and Anime and how much they love it. Well, I don't. I've watched Full Metal Alchemist and I'll admit that it was freaking awesome! But I'm not really big in that sector. Also, I can't draw worth s**t =P So now that I've successfully isolated myself from what I would say is 90% of Gaia's population, let me move on =P
Small Talk Answers:
I'm going to devote a section of this for all my answers to those relentless questions that everyone seems to "have to" ask everyone else. Why...? It's an excuse to not do my IB Physics work right now.
I'll start with the infamously overdone...
"What type of music do you like...?"
I like any music that has a good beat; one that can get me going. Sometimes crappy song lyrics, even if the song has a good beat, makes me think it's a crappy song. So far I havn't heard any Country song I like. Sorry Cowboys and Cowgirls, I can't make everyone happy ^_- Who knows, maybe some day I'll hear one I like.
"What are your favorite bands then...?
It's very rare that I like more than three tracks/songs/whatever from any album, so I don't really have any favorite bands. Just favorite songs. What are those...? Well, I would put them up here, but y'know how favorite songs go. You like it, then you play it over and over, then you hate it and finally get a new favorite song. It's like a weekly process. And I don't want to change it. So Feck that!

What a broad question. Seriously, if any of you ask this one, narrow it down a bit, eh..? I like...Philosophy, Wit, Comedy, Earl Grey Tea, Crumpets, Physics, Calculus, English, Leadership, Drama, Music, Reading, anything else that makes me happy, basically. To you grammar nazis out there, I know that didn't have correct parallelism but shh! Maybe others won't notice. ^_-
"Can you donate..?"
I know this one isn't a small talk question, but it's the one I get most often, so it's going in. Usually the question isn't phrased like this, but I'm not about to stoop down to an illiterate's level to emulate how it's asked. Anyways, I'm sure most of you get this question enough yourselves. Elsewise you ask it. Now for the answer. NO. Yes, I -can- donate, but I'll pass on doing so. Probably because I think it would be a bad investment i.e. I don't want to waste meh gold. That and I'm far from empathetic when it comes to donating. I only donate to people that -know- me and that I actually like. So save yourselves some time and don't ask me this one, as the answer will likely be no. This goes especially for you, Kiesha! =P
Survival Guide to Me:
I'll let you know right out; I can be very difficult =P So here's a few pointers when dealing with moi:
One: Don't ask for donations! I already went into this above; but doing this usually only pisses me off. >=(
Two: Sometimes I jibe and joke at people, but I'm just messing around. Don't take it too seriously and get offended. Instead, think of it as an invitation into a duel of wits...that is, if you have anything to brandish. ^_-
Three: I like to argue. No, I love to argue. Arguing and debating is real fun for me. Well, it is when the person I'm arguing or debating with is actually a challenge and doesn't easily get offended. So at times, you can expect me to be argumentative. Again, don't take this so seriously. I argue mainly for fun, not because I actually care =P

So what can you conclude from this long, droning monologue...? Either that I'm a conceded arse or a nerd because I use too many big words. Of course, there's the chance you could think I'm a pretty neat guy. But I'm a rare breed of fish in the ocean and, as such, kindred spirits are equally as rare. I can see how my confidence and the lack of a cute and nice tone atypical to Gaia profiles can lead one to think I'm conceded. But I assure you I'm not as conceded as I seem; I highly value other's opinions, so long as they're logically founded. As for being a nerd. Sure, as I said, I'm an intellectual dude, but nerds are more of a sub-culture than anything; they dress a certain way, act a certain way. And I don't follow their binding decordum. I'm an individual. Besides, those guys just don't know how to have fun. And for me at least, life is about being as happy as possible.
