- Ethan has the power to generate force-fields. That is, he is able to throw up a barrier between himself and something else to prevent that something else from reaching him. His force-fields are very solid, surprisingly so, but they are very taxing. He can create his force-fields out of energy around him and within him, and the fields are silver in colour. You can tell when his field is weakening by how faded it looks and how many cracks appear in it. He usually only uses the shield to protect himself, since that is the least taxing way of using his power, but he can throw up a barrier between two people, and he can toss a barrier to catch someone. His barriers to not destroy what hits them – they just get absorbed. He has yet to figure out if there is a way to absorb the attacks yet, but he's working on it. His fields can be broken by energy drain, by repeated blows, and extreme weight. When having a force field up, he has to focus, and he can only have one up at a time. His powers are entirely useless against anyone who has shield break, and if he locks himself in a force field, oxygen can't get in, so he can't stay within a fully formed force-field for long. Also, every time something hits his force-field, it feels as though someone is driving a nail through his skull, which means that concentration – which is required to produce a strong force-field – becomes more difficult. The field will fail under too much stress, and if he uses the field for too long, you can physically see the drain on his body, usually starting with a bleeding nose and ears.

- 「 ♔ * Ethan was born in Kuala Lumpur, to his Taiwanese mother and his Malay mother. He has a younger brother named James and an older sister named Charlotte.
「 ♔ * His father was the superhero in his family, possessing the ability to create areas of negative space around his enemies. He wasn't really a hero, but he wasn't really a villain, either. He was one of those neutral parties who only stepped in when he was needed, and for some reason he gained a rather large fan following because of that - he wasn't one of those heroes who inadvertently brought danger to his own city.
「 ♔ * Ethan and his family moved to the States when he was nine years old, settling in a small town outside of Seattle.
「 ♔ * Ethan grew up knowing that one day he'd most likely gain a super power, and he'd be lying if he said that he wasn't excited when he developed his ability to create a force-field in the middle of a snowball fight with his siblings.
「 ♔ * Some people think that he's kind of scary, since he's 6'4" and doesn't really talk much, but really he's a gentle giant. He's known for using his powers to break up fights between classmates.
「 ♔ * He wants to be like his father - the kind of person who helps people when they need it, but not to the point where he brings himself into the position of being a target, extended to the people he knows and cares about.
「 ♔ * Since the most intimidating thing about him is his height, he isn't afraid to use it to his advantage when he sees fit. Aside from the fact that finding clothes that fit can be a bit of a hassle, being as tall as he is does have it's benefits... people don't usually pick fights with him.
「 ♔ * He is very protective of his siblings. His older sister has already graduated from Sky University and is working as a nurse back in Seattle (she has one of those nifty healing barrier powers... surround the afflicted area with her barrier, let stand for an hour, and everything is all fine and dandy again), but his little brother is now a freshman with a hero complex... Ethan is constantly getting him out of trouble.
「 ♔ * Ethan is a sucker for cats. He loves them, and is known to pick up and rescue strays.
「 ♔ * He also loves children, which is why he went into social work in the first place. He grew up in a good household, and hopes to help as many children as he can achieve that kind of stability in their lives.
