About

I'm an odd sort of person. At one time in my life I got picked on and singled out a lot because I preferred to sit and read or write or draw to the stupid stuff other people my age got up to. I am an artist and a writer, and someday I hope to make movies professionally. I've been described as sweet, silly, naive, ditzy, yet smarter than I act sometimes. I think the world I see is differant from the world a lot of other people see. I find beauty in the oddest places.

Music is extreemly important to me. It's not something I can explain easily. I'm not very musical myself (though I'm teaching myself to play blues harmonica), but listening to good music, be it rock, jazz, celtic, blues, classical, whatever, it just... does something to me. I go to differant places, feel things so vividly. I cry while listening to good music. Sometimes on the bus, which is embarassing. Right now I'm really into Cake, Muse, Tegan and Sarah, Franz Ferdinand, The Decemberists, and the Lords of the Rhymes. Old (and always) favorites inclue Aerosmith, the Beatles, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, and Jimi Hendrix.

I love to write. I generally have some sort of fantasy story in the works, just some silly thing I'm writing to keep myself entertained. I draw a lot, including my own comics based on my life and my friends, which you can check out through the link up there. Both of those are a lot of fun, but my ultamate passion is making movies. I've done some amateur stuff, just me with my camcorder getting my buddies to act for me, but hopefully I'll be able to do more when I get my editing software up. Let's see, what else... I'm obsessed with pirates. Seriously. My car has a pirate flag on the antenna. biggrin
