What is it like being Irish?

I've been asked to talk about the Irish or Ireland (Where I'm from).

Well what's famous about the Irish is that they're notable drunks or alcoholics. So, for the purposes of this lecture I've decided to get drunk. . . myself in order to properly
talk about the Irish and touch on what we're all about.

So, the Irish are known for being drunks. Why is this? Well I'm glad you've asked that. Probably because there is not much else to do in Ireland. Except for complain about
the lack of potatoes or lack of appropriate number of marsh mellows in your lucky charms. (Which are of course made in Ireland. . . Everyone knows that). . . So, what do the Irish
have going for them other than Lucky Charms and Leprechauns? Well. . . Not much.

We did one thing right a few hundred years ago When an amount of us went to America. I think one of the reasons why this was so successful is because we needed to get out of our enviroment in order to totally break free of our addiction. In the case of the Irish, alcohol. So, the Irish did pretty
well for themselves in the USA.

What else are the Irish famous for? Well they're famous for writing obsessively long romantic poetry. Which doesn't generally do anything other than win us a lot of Nobel prizes. You might think:

'That's a big thing!'

But if the point of the poetry is to actually get over how crap you're feeling or to win the heart back of someone who decided to go with something else or someone who wasn't an alcoholic then it hasn't achieved much, now has it?

What else is Ireland famous for? Ireland has produced a certain number of boy bands
over the years. So we can safely say we're famous for our pretty singing voices. But that's
probably due to the fact that we're magical. . . If you were magical you'd probably have a very high and pretty singing voice too.

Other than that the Irish have produced some pretty good comedians who tend towards a humor that's all about being depressedof the fact how crap life is. . .Thats probably because life is quite crap in Ireland, I would imagine. . . You have to imagine because you've never
been there.
