Every day, I listen to the radio. Yes I know what you're thinking. "The radio? who listens to the radio anymore?" Well that would be my family. I don't nessesarily like to have my eyes and ears assaulted by meaningless babble and flashing images. YOu know, if you think about it, it's no wonder that just about everyone nowdays has ADD. Sesame Street for example, it's a show for little kids right. Well studies show that the reapid transition from one image to another to another is scarring for developing minds. Until we reach a certain age, The human mid cannot proccess so many things at once. But, still we subject children to a barrage of light and sound and movement until they finally grow to understand. But what is the price we pay for a half-hour's "quiet"? The minds of today's children now need the rapidity, their minds have lost the ability to hold onto an idea and truely grasp it. We have raised a generation of people that will escalate humanities Rat Race mentality to a point never before seen. People so obsesed with now,now,now, that they loose sight of the future. I hope that we're proud of ourselves.
