Being the leader of a cabin was not always something to be happy about. Sure it wasn't the Hermes cabin where there were ten thousand kids staying, but somehow it was just as stressful for Tristan. There were quite a few kids that his father decided to make, so their cabin was getting a bit full. Being the leader he decided were everyone was to sleep. The longer you had been there the better spot you got. Along with if you had been any trouble from the week then you'd get moved to the floor. He worked the cabin in a way that no one could get to angry. He was just hoping their wouldn't be to many more Apollo kids showing up. Not that he didn't like his siblings, but his father was getting a little out of hand. In the next few days he could tell there were going to be problems with the Apollo kids. They didn't get along to well with their cousins. Not cousins exactly, but those who followed their father's sister. The hunters were there at the camp for at least the first month of summer. Tristan didn't understand why, but it had something to do with Artemis on some sort of a mission. He didn't like dealing with the main woman of the hunters. She was rude and thought every man was below her. They were the epitome of feminists. For some reason though. they thought that everyone in the Apollo cabin was strange. Tristan worked hard for his cabin and so did everyone else. Though the people that truly hated those girls were the Apollo girls. One time he heard that Marie, a sister just a year younger than him, tried to join the hunters. Though he was sure Artemis would have been happy, they pushed her away. Something about bad blood in her body.

Tristan opened his eyes and the day started out like crap for the him. There was already fight between the hunters and them. Marie even had her sword out. "Marie what do you think you're doing?" Tristan stood up and looked at the two girls that were right outside of the golden cabin. Marie wasn't to happy with which ever one this girl was. He didn't remember ever seeing her, but there were around twenty girls in the hunters now. Marie turned to Tristan and just stared at him for a moment, like nothing was going on. "Why do you have your sword out. Also, why are you fighting with her?" He wasn't sure why there were so many people freaking out. Tristan looked around to find one of the leaders. Sure he didn't get along with them, but they wouldn't let one of their own get into a fight with others. They didn't want to get kicked out of camp. When he didn't see either of them he gave a deep sigh. There was no way that he was going to be able to handle all of them. He was slowly pulling them apart when Chiron came up to them. "What is going on here Tristan?" That was the one thing that Tristan hated about being a leader of the camp. He had to deal with the fact that sometimes he couldn't do something. "I just woke up. I was trying to get them to stop." Luckily for him Marie pulled her sword down and put it away. He was not to excited for the whole fight. The hunter didn't look ready to give up just yet.

Chiron looked to the hunters and Apollo children. "Now I know that you two groups don't always get along, but you're going to have to learn how to deal with each other one way or another." Chiron then glanced again to the both of the children and walked off. He was not happy with them, but he was going to have to deal with them. Tristan grabbed Marie and pulled her back into their cabin. Not that he really wanted to talk to her, he just wanted to avoid a fight between them. As the two groups went their own ways Tristan grabbed some clothes and walked to shower. Their were bathrooms right by the cabins where people were able to shower. Tristan liked to shower quickly so that he could get on with his day. As he walked into the room there was no one else in there. He was glad as he walked into the shower area. He quickly got ready and hopped in.

Tristan's life was pretty normal other than the whole being a child of a Greek God. He lived with his mother in New York. He played the cello at a young age and was entered in a summer camp at Julliard School of Music. His mother was very proud of him even though she knew how he got those powers. When he turned ten he was studying to learn the piano. It wasn't hard for him to switch instruments, but after a short while his mother couldn't handle not telling him. He was about to try out for Julliard's summer camp the Spring of his twelfth year, when his mother told him something. He wasn't to try out because he wasn't going to be there for that summer. Tristan was confused instantly. He thought for sure that his talent would make his mother proud. She told him that he was going to a different camp for the summer. A camp for very special people. Tristan didn't understand, but on the way his mother explained everything. She didn't say who his father was just that his father was a Greek God. She dropped him off and kissed him good-bye. When he reached the top of the hill there was something that looked a lot like a dragon. He freaked out a little and quickly ran past it. He ran until he reached the door. As he entered there was a man in a wheelchair that greeted him. That was his life now. Though he still went back to New York for the school year. His mother loved spending time with him, but only the time that she knew she had. He had a different responsibility to take care of.

As Tristan finished his shower he changed into some clean clothes and walked out to the camp again. Their were many more people awake now, and she saw satyr name Caleb walk to the Hermes cabin. Tristan didn't know to many of the satyrs around. His mother took him to the camp so he wasn't really brought there by one. Though many of the campers were brought there by them. They worked for the camp and didn't pretty much whatever they were told to do. They were good people, or creatures. Tristan walked to his own cabin and put his things away. There were many people starting to plan something. Tristan avoided them. He saw it as if he had nothing to do with it then there wasn't anything to blame on him. Other than not being able to control his own cabin. He rapidly found a reason to get out of there and walked to the middle of the cabins, where Hestia's fire pit was. He sat down and looked into it. For some reason he really liked Hestia. Not that he had really ever met her, but she seemed like a good Goddess. One that didn't do everything just because it was the 'right' thing to do. She gave up her own seat so that Dionysus could call himself a God. Though now all he did was look after a camp with some kids in it. Tristan sat there for another good ten minutes until he heard someone walk up to him. It was Emilia Moon from the Demeter cabin. Her and Tristan had, had a thing for around a year now. They never said that they were actually dating though. "I find you here a lot don't I?" She teased him. As he opened his mouth to say something. She just giggled and pulled his arm. "Come on it's time for breakfast."

Tristan followed her to the mess hall. There were already many people standing around and chatting. Tristan grabbed some food and stood in line with Emilia as she chatted to one of her brothers about something. Tristan reached the fire and scooted about half of his food of onto the fire. He loved his father very much. Most of the time he didn't say anything to the man when he gave him food. Even though he had never met the man he always felt like he knew him very well. Even just through music. He walked back to his table and sat down looking around. There were many Apollo children there chatting it up. He heard one of them talking about the hunters. He closed his ears and started to shovel food into his mouth. The faster he got out of there was the faster he got to work on something else.
