"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
"The same was in the beginning with God.
"All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."--St. John 1:1-3
The Word refers to Christ Jesus the Son of God (as is revealed in verse 14 of the same chapter), and the first and second verses explain His tantamount relationship with God the Father in the Godhead. Verse 3 is the knot of any loose ends in the Deity of Christ as following that the Word (Jesus) is God, it says He is the Creator of all things that were made Himself, and thus not merely a creation made by God sent to do a work on earth.
The verses were something that I wrote into the Verizon message bottle at random. It just happened to be what I was reading at the time, and I probably could have chosen a less confusing verse if I'd given it more thought. Lol. | ♥
