As she glided across the dance floor with dainty foot steps, a tall, dark figure caught her eye. Lilith beamed. She already knew who it was.
"Marni!," she gasped as she threw herself across the room with one elegant leap. Every movement she made was almost like a dance.
"How are you..?" she says as gripping her hands. "Do you have the.. files?," she whispers.

Mongoose tilted his head at the new name, but then he gave the Whatever equivalent to a shrug and continued to trot after Marni, tail still wagwagwagging happily. After all, he could get used to the name, and he had a new lady-person until his person stopped sleeping.

Mongoose trotted after her, looking up at Marni as if to say, 'dude, lady, I can't talk.' That being the case he couldn't inform her that he had a name, either, but whatever, a lady-person was a person, even if the lady-person wasn't his person.

(I've rp'd with Luigi in Towns once, for a bit, but otherwise no, I haven't.)

At the offer to go with her, Mongoose bounced to his feet and chirped happily. His stumpy little tail wagged rapidly until his entire rear end wagged as well. He ran in a small circle and then hopped in place a few times before he finally settled down and stared up at her.

(Hullo~ Mongoose is...well, no one's sure, so we all just call him a Whatever. We /think/ he's an alien. We know he's dumb as a molding brick.)

When head scratches were provided, Mongoose made a low, vaguely contented purring noise and his tail wagwagwagged like the old, happy Mongoose. He sat down and leaned his head into her hand with a soft, cheerful twitter.

There was no one in the apartment. He had no one to follow on jobs. The shop was closed. He hadn't been fed today.
Now what?
With that thought bouncing around the roomy interior of Mongoose's head, he trotted down the side walk, head low and tail no longer wagwagwagging. It was a familiar path to a tall, familiar building that he wasn't supposed to be in but had been in a handful of times anyway. He wasn't particularly fond of the building, but maybe he'd find his person there. Somewhere.

He slowed when he saw an unfamiliar lady-person near the building, which was odd; Mongoose's teeny brain was familiar with most of the persons that lurked about the building.
Curious like a curious thing, he trotted up to the lady person, stopped, and stared up at her with wide red eyes. Ear pricked forward, he tilted his head to the side and clicked his beak quietly, and his tail gave a small, hesitant wagwag.

At the mention of Nathan, she gets quiet,"It has been a very long time. Very painful for him..."

"It will no longer be for GeneCO... Marni... I'm not sure if I will ever sing again." She raises her Artificial gaze to Marni, her mechanical eyes blinking and glowing beautifully.
"But I have missed you so much. Have you see... Shiloh yet?"
