Checkerboards and cutting boards sounds amazing! My dad does woodworking and has taught me how to use a skill saw (I think that's what it's called). It is so much fun!
Please please PLEASE do! I WOULD LOVE THAT SO MUCH!
I only advertised it on my status because I didn't want to bother any of you all by asking you all directly, lol sweatdrop
Oh yes, we just had a big storm the other day. We went 4 hours North to my old town for my doctor's appointment. We left on Sunday and stayed the night. Monday I had my appointment and the roads were nasty, so we just drove super slow. We ended up staying an extra night because of the storm. I think some places ended up with ten inches of snow! I adore the winter, especially Nor'Easters. However, I will be happy if I eventually go down to Kentucky and stay because winter driving, shoveling, and heating houses are a HUGE PAIN IN THE BUTT. Additionally, heating houses in Maine in the winter can be mega expensive. I keep my room at 70 and that's actually warmer than our old house. One time we had an icicle in the bathtub, lol. But I love to stay home during a good Nor'Easter and watch the trees being swaying super hard in the wind. I always get more birds too. Dark eyed juncos only really come to Maine in the winter and they always take over the yard during storms! They are super fat and cute!
Hutto is about 10 minutes from Austin I believe! I am looking into either the winter or fall program because a Texan summer would probably destroy me, even though your heat tends to be dry from what I have heard. The humidity in Maine is HORRIBLE. I am looking into the twelve week program because it has introductory courses to Search and Rescue, personal protection training, and narcotics detection. All things I would not do for a career but would be fascinated to learn about and try. They give students a few rescue dogs to train over the 12 weeks and also allow students to bring their own dogs.
That is great about your dogs. They certainly are a joy. I like seeing the photos of yours on your instagram. What kind of presents are you making?
I popped Riker's open again a few days ago. I was dog-sitting and had nothing to do, LOL
I also have another RP on a different account.
When I have too much down time I try to write a lot because I get really bored, haha.
Her named is Bibs and she is six years old. I specifically told the shelter I wanted a velcro cat that was also mature and calm. She has double paws, about six toes on every foot. So sometimes her claws get stuck to my shirt or pants and leaves marks, lol! She also has a funny meow and my parrot has copied it at this point, so now he meows. Meows and says t**t, lol. He is so weird. Then Nudak is coming up in February, so I will be able to show him a Maine winter, which will be fun. Additionally, I am looking at a Dog Trainer's academy in Hutto, Texas! biggrin
I am glad that you are feeling a little better. A little progress is certainly better than no progress. heart
If you ever want to RP or just chat to keep distracted feel free to ask! I also started posting in the old rp after writing up a time-skip, all because I got bored. So I figured why not, haha.
You're welcome! I am not too bad, thanks for asking! I finally got some help, so my mood has improved some. I also adopted a cat and she is like velcro and loves belly rubs! How have you been? biggrin
I'm visiting Nudak!
The room that I am living in needed a lot of work. The folks who were renting the place lived there for nine years and their bedroom was the one I live in. They smoked in there, so when I sprayed the walls yellow just ran down. I washed all of the walls and painted them about four times. I also had to sit on the floor to scrub it. Scrubbed it three or four times on the floor and then mopped it just as many. The place is so gross! But since my parents bought it they can fix it up however they like. I was taking the ceiling tiles down to paint them and a sex toy fell out! It barely missed my face! Nudak was going to move up but his grandmother just got diagnosed with cancer. I decided I may move down but my grandfather had an amputation. So the two of us are just waiting things out for now.
Hawaii sounds like a lot of fun! My uncle used to live their and he really enjoyed it. I would love to see something like lava caves.
Are you back in school now?
Yeah, I was. When I heard that certain people were not invited back I decided to go. It felt so refreshing to not have the huge clique there. Everyone was so nice this summer! I worked Saturday's at Starbucks. So I had a 45 day stretch of work with no days off. It was terrible. Left Starbucks, so now im just Subbing again. At the airport right now as I type. Ready for my vacation. When I got home from camp I had a few weeks off before school started, but I was fixing up my living space in parent's new house. The place was filthy.
Did you do anything fun this summer? Hope you pull out of your slump soon and get to feeling better. <3
