~About~
Y hallo thar...lol, right, well hi I'm Nicole... and I'm and alcoholic.
Nah not really. Though I wish I was seeing as that would give me something to talk about, even if my life would be filled with depression and liver failure.
My name is Nicole though, that part was right. Unless I've been living a lie all these years. I'm fairly confident that is my name, seeing as my parents have given me a pretty good back-story behind it (well, I was named after a girl in this 80's show called "My Two Dads" who my parents thought was nice - *shrug* it's good enough reason for me).
I've been playing the piano for about 6 years now, but alas still no better then the day I learnt where C was. Thus my complete loathing of musical child prodigies, with their tiny fingers which move like enraged hamsters across the keys, whilst reciting The Complete Works Of Shakespeare. They make me sick. So sick I shall spit.... well, not really as it's fairly unhygenic.
I've also had a stab at trying to play the guitar, failed after two years and decided to give up. As you do.
So, I would say my last musical hope is in singing, of which I've began taking lessons for this year at college. It seems to be going well... so far. Only time will tell, as they say.
Staying on a musical leg, I shall now babble on about my favourite musical meistros. The first, as you can probably tell from this topical background, is the legend himself. The second coming. Jesus in spandex.
DAVID BOWIE.
I can't rightly say when my love-affair began with this crotch-jester's music, seeing as it has always been in my life, since birth I would imagine, but just slightly out of focus. Although, the catalyst would have been when the BBC series Life On Mars began, which told the story of a police officer of the present day, Sam Tyler, getting hit by a car, putting him into a coma and sending him to the year 1973. The humour, added with the retro soundtrack and story led to a fantastic piece of television based on the era where David Bowie truly was king. Another big catalyst in my David Bowie fandom would have to have been the present I recieved from a friend this Christmas - The Labyrinth. Good Lord had I been missing out. The fantasy tale of a Goblin King and a young girl with a large imagination, featuring the superb talents of David Bowies crotch. SUPERB. This film has now overuled my life, and I am no longer able to decipher whether this is a good or bad thing.
Ah, David Bowie - your legend status will live on, and on, and on...
Now, my other huge musical fandom would have to be:
THE HOOISERS.
If you have not heard of them, go and check them out. NOW.
This fandom began when I was on a trip to London with college, in which on one of the days we just happened to by chance catch the Hoosiers in Trafalgar Sqaure XD
They were a superb force of awesome-ness, not to be reconned with, even though theres only three of them <3
They wowed us with their MASSIVE hits of "Goodbye Mr A" and "Worried About Ray". And even though it was pouring it down, there was a sizeable amount of people out to support the fantastic trio. I was baught the album for Christmas, which doubled my fandom. It is truly an album that doesn't get old.
*bows down to mighty Hoosiers*
I think I've covered most of the important things to me - if i've missed anything out I suppose I can just keep going back and editing this.
So, thats me. yep.
~Wot u say??!!~
