Hello, my name is Melanie aka MJ, I am a 19 year old girl and I am 5'8" with short layered brown hair that has auburn (kind of) highlights through it and brown eyes from the tiny town of Newman, which is smack dab in the middle of California. It isn't a bad little town, but it does have it's boring moments. Hey, but things are what you make of them, so try and make them your best.

Anyway here is a little information about me:
~I am a hopeless romantic, I love the little things, they make the big picture seem even better and they make certain moments even more special than they would/could already be.
~I hate to say it but in some ways I am a kind of like a girly girl lately, from the highlights (which now are natural, I swear) to wearing make up almost on an everyday basis. One thing that I have learned though is, you can't always judge a book by it's cover. So eventhough I may look different, I am still the same person inside, all you have to do is stay around long enough to see that.
~I am a very spontaneous person, so forgive me if I go from talking about one thing to immediately talking about something else that doesn't seem like it has any relationship to the other.....that is just the way I am. I promise to try and get better about it and keep it down to a minimum, but I highly doubt it will happen.
~I am a poet....I enjoy writing and don't really share it too often, sometimes I will share it, so look for my poetry on my journal.
~I am completely obsessed with music, all the aspects of it, playing and listening. I play the flute, piccolo, piano, clarinet, and xylophone....and I enjoy listening to pretty much all the different types of music.
~I love to spend time with my friends, even if we are just sitting around and being bored, at least we are being bored together.
~Yes, most of my friends are guys, but just because I am friends with a bunch of guys doesn't mean anything. They are just the ones that have been there for me the most when I have needed them.
~And yes, I do have friends that are girls as well!
~I enjoy drama, not the kind like "well he did this with who", but drama as in theatrical drama, I love the theater and watching plays come together from the beginning to the end.
~Yes, my life has its moments filled with regular everyday drama, but honestly, whose life doesn't have a little bit of drama in it? I do try to do the best that I can to stay away from it, but sometimes it is just one of those things you can't avoid.
~I love anime, lately I am very in to Anime, and I have my friends from school and then ones that I hang out with every day to thank for that. Currently I am really in to: ROD, ROD the TV, Tokyo Mew Mew, Cardcaptor Sakura, Bleach, Fruits Basket, and a few others that people are trying to get me to watch.
~I love to read, I read a lot! Honestly, you will barely ever see me anywhere without a book in my hands. I even carry a book in my purse, that way I have something to do if I get seriously bored.

I wish I could do more for the people around me who I love and care about, but it seems that they are always the ones doing things for me. They have really been helping me out in my times of greatest need, so to all of them, I just want to say that I love them very much and wouldn't have made it if it hadn't been for them.

I guess I am not what you would consider an average person, I am just me, and I am okay with that. As long as you are true to yourself and you are happy, then nothing else truly matters.

Right now, I am currently spending my time working and just getting back in to the swing of things when it comes to going to school. I honestly just needed a break from school, and I took it and am feeling a lot better now. Honestly, it all was just feeling too easy, and when things get like that for me, I tend to get bored...yeah it wasn't a pretty sight. I just decided to take the time to do some self-reflecting and then returned to school when I finally figured out exactly where I want to end up in life. My fate is my decison, and I will make it, and no one will ever take that away from me.
