Also, if you need stuff/gold, here are some good ways:
Fishing (if you have the patience)
Booty Grab (I made 20k in 30 minutes biggrin )
zOMG! (Gaia's MMO, really fun. You can make a lot of money from enemy drops and completed item recipes)
Surf the site and do the dailies (like daily chance, gold lotto (I wouldn't invest too much gold in it htough...) and your first forum posts, comments, and journal entries of the day)
