Bluh. >_>;
I miss high school, but I'm sure I've made several life-long friends in college.
Occasionally. It's not as easy to access a piano on campus anymore. I want to learn guitar, flute, oboe, harp, and more one day. xD Don't know when I'll get the time to. So are you mainly interested in stringed instruments? Or also wind/percussion/etc.?
Plenty of all-sorts-of-memories. B];;
Forgot most of the Spanish/Chinese I learned. x__x
Nah. Struggles are relative. I felt high school was tough...then college happened.
Go for it!
Let me know your thoughts on uni whenever you experience it. 8]
B];; Them memories.
>__> You could always go for it anyway! 8D Or try Spanish? The top practical languages to learn for jobs later on (IMO) = English, Spanish, Chinese. (Judged by population) As for beautiful languages though...well, that's more subjective, but I'd go with Spanish, Italian, French, Arabic, Russian, Serbo-Croatian- I'll just stop here. There's too many languages that are beautiful. B[
Thank you. Although, so far, they've been easier than undergrad courses. >__>;
Ah..that would be really hard. Maybe one day when you're an independent person, you could go for violin lessons?
Uni...well. You'll just have to find out yourself. Just don't underestimate it. B];;
Hmm..that is an interesting thought. I hope they are doing well. The last one I talked to -other than you- was Mido.
Mandarin.
Naah. I need to take grad courses next semester for the program I'm interested in.
-pats head- Did you not learn from a violin teacher? o o;
Ahh..well, it's a lot more viable in uni just because of proximity. xD
I don't know Cantonese. xD You're right about the last part though. 8D
Definitely. Tons of pre-med students got to study abroad. (Just not engineering/pre-med as much..)
Well. Spare time. Isn't that a precious commodity? But really, hang with friends, violin, enjoy life - the good stuff. You?
I think Japanese is confusing because it also uses Chinese characters for the kanji part. x__x Chinese itself is already confusing writing/reading-wise. It's easier for me to speak/listen thanks to my background.
Yes...B[ Don't even get me started on country differences. OTL
-pats back- That's the spirit!
Huh. Interesting. I did consider studying abroad -in Germany- but it turned out that I had already taken one of two engineering classes over there. And now...it turns out that I probably could have gone anyway since I'm technically done with my graduation requirements by the end of this semester. (Got one more spring semester to go.)
That makes a lot more sense.
Japanese...confuses me. Hiragana, katakana, kanji. x__x Would rather just learn Chinese (or so I think). I don't know how many kanji the Japanese use.
GPA = Grade Point Average. Usually out of a 4.0 scale. Where something like A+ = 4.0, A = 3.7+ or something like that. Depends on the school.
Yeah..for industry track, it'd be just one more year..And for med...it's 6 more years. xD
I suppose...I'm the kind of person who figures out what they want to do by doing. Thinking about what something might be like just ends up in too many long nights. To each their own though.
Traveling would be interesting. Maybe you could go for studying abroad in your university?
Anyway, gonna sleep now. Night! (Afternoon)
o o; Better than desserts?
Somehow. And I can agree with that. B[ Everyone should just switch to Korean or Spanish (very nice-to-learn languages).
I did..but if I ever want to switch to industry, t'is better to have compsci. Plus, coding's fun too. Maybe I should have double majored. Engineering is also a GPA killer. OTL
Ah. Gap year is just one year. The program included the 4 years from freshman to senior year. -Oh wait. I misunderstood. Some people do that, but I'd rather be productive in a gap year. B];;
I would go insane if I took a year off for a holiday. Geezus.
Yeah..better than vegetables. >>; Although, there was this weird side called "watermelon salad," which included watermelon, onion, and some kind of cheese. Never again.
>__> Dun dun dun duun. (AKA: Have tons of fun.)
How useful it is = Questionable. Sometimes wonder whether I should've just done comp sci. xD
Gap year is for the 4+1 program. (On campus) 4 years undergrad, 1 year for masters (assuming you take classes that can be moved to masters).
Or would do internship/apply for NIH program. etc etc etc.
Yes. And no. They probably just order whatever's cheapest here.
>__> PSH. Experience college life first. Makes you feel really old by the end. OTL
Ah..-shrug-
Do what you like. I'm biomedical engineering. Gap year may be for master's and preparation for med school.
Yes, I did. Made up avatar. xD
Ahhh. All campus has for fruit are honey dew and cantaloupe. (Which are good in moderation..) But there's barely any other fruit -unless specially ordered from certain places.
>__> Yeees. But...but.. - You youngin'! -noogie-
Well, I'm not exactly sure what the difference is...so I just use the terms interchangeably. (My school is called a university though...)
Fellow pre-meds gotta suffer. Best to know buddies. xD Ahh..well, you got time! I know someone who finally figured out her major early junior year. o o;
Best to take some classes/do research/maybe shadow for optom and figure out if that's your thing.
