Look at it this way.

You can work as non-certified nurse at cheaper wages(three time, four times, I don't know the situation in Philippines) than certified nurse. They do almost exactly the same thing. Once you work as a no-certified nurse and comparing to real nurses, that's when you wished you had the certificate. Certificate is valuable because it's hard to get. If it was easy to get, it'll be flooded with certified nurses and the wages will be much cheaper.

I had hard time concentrating studying too because there were so much distraction. You can still enjoy other distraction(^_^) if you can make the studying time more efficient by making it interesting. When the studying is fun, your brain absorbs the info much more easily. If you understand half way what's in the book then go to the class, you'll understand and enjoy it much more.
