Ah, I see. Sarnia is a fairly small relatively unknown city, best known for the various plants here otherwise known as Chemical Valley.
It's an odd place, to say the least.
I'm medicated, but it doesn't do much. Besides which, it's not much medication anyways considering that I'm a person with rapid-cycling bipolar.
You can't medicate true emotion. 3nodding
That was the exact same thing with me and teachers as well. My VP and Principal hated me as well, mainly due to the fact that I was too sneaky to get caught. They'd know I'd be in class baked as hell, but never had any way to prove it, cause I can pull a mean sober act on the turn of a dime.
I've been diagnosed with "Oppositional Defiance Disorder" which is basically the same thing you're going through with defiance against authority and all that jazz whee I've also been labelled as Manic Depressive, otherwise known as Bipolar Disorder.
Michigan, huh? I live right no the border in Sarnia, Ontario. Whereabouts are you from?
I never did any standardized testing of any form, I aced my Grade 10 literacy test while baked out of my tree (hell, I don't even remember taking it) With the essay portion of it being about the hypocrisy and outright ridiculousness of Canada's outdated laws regarding the prohibition of cannabis. Asked for a 1 page essay, and I wrote off a 5 pager xd:
I'm a strange person, to say the least. Never been suspended, although I've had numerous in-school suspensions for truancy (they'd never give me an out of school suspension, because they knew dan well it would do no good and ultimately give me what I wanted, which was to skip class rofl) So they eventually said ******** it and expelled me near the end of grade 10, just before final exams. I still passed math with a 78, regardless of my attendance and missing my exam lol
It's funny, my grade 9 geography teacher actually recommended me to drop out!
Exactly the same thing here, I was a prodigal child, reading by the age of three and talking by one and a half or so.
I knew how to spell, read, and write fluently, yet the school board never wanted to put forth the extra funding to put me in advanced classes.
So I trudged along in the regular system, boring myself to death. Once I hit highschool, I started skipping regularly, missing an average of 40-50 classes/semester, and it got to the point where they flat out kicked me out for a lack of attendance. It doesn't help that half of my absences were due to my rotten sleep pattern (or lack thereof, I'm an insomniac).
At any rate, I'm relaxing, with 6 high school credits total, and working on starting my own business of sorts. Starving Artist Productions 3nodding
At any rate, pleasure to meet you, my name's Khrys(topher)
