Well at the moment I've kinda been snagging courses just to secure an General Associates. If I cannot finish my schooling for a more focused degree, it'll at least pay to have that.
I'm not certain of my total credits. I'm guesstimating about 26 total at the moment, not counting the current semester. I've only gotten one F so far, during my 1st quarter. However I have already replaced that.
I entirely understand why you'd press for a withdrawal from courses. Better to get that on a transcript than a failure. I was attempting French this quarter but after realizing I could hardly understand my teacher, I dropped it relatively quick without penalty.
My math instructor, though not the best at directly answering questions, does a very decent job of making sure we keep reviewed. Nearly every quiz we have each week contains lessons from the previous unit or material we were struggling on previously.
It's truly shocking how much of a difference which college you end up attending. I was disappointed my first two attempts at two other colleges went so poorly.
But given my experience at this one, I've learned it is not a failure due to my part given my grades have remained consistent and in good standing.
Nothing is more bothersome than when the staff entrusted to train you for your potential future are detrimental to not only your education but your psychological state.
Big difference between a teacher whom takes the opportunity to ridicule someone for comedic effect, and one who does it to simply belittle them. I'm grateful the majority of the instructors I've encountered here are open minded and light hearted towards others.
Aye the job situation certainly is not in my favor. Been here a year myself without any luck. I thought I had a breakthrough here recently when I got an offer for a group interview for the local GameStop in my town.
Unfortunately the incompetence of the employees working that day inhibited me from attending like I planned to.
I'm about to toss aside my pride to search for fast food employment. Sounds pompous to say such a thing but I'd rather have a job I could mildly enjoy myself with than force myself to suffer while covered in grease.
As much as I appreciate the offer dear I do not believe there is much you can do from your current position. Unless you can convince the people out here to hire me xd
I'm still trying to get my general focus of study down so I know where I'm going.
Been taking general courses but most of them handle prerequisites so I'd be covered for whichever path I chose.
I have to admit that my school is probably a lot better than the other ones I've attended. I failed hard at my other ones.
However except for one course my first quarter, I've gotten all b+ or higher, and one c+.
But gahhhh, so much work. Not too mention I'm in desperate need of a job as well.
Well hello there Missy. Certainly been quite some time.
I'm doing all right to say the least. Tearing my hair out over school but that is just usual.
How bout yourself?
Month late responseswoot! Its like mailing letters to each other from opposite ends of the world in the 50's or something. I'm doing okay. Been playing different games now that I upgraded my internet to handle faster paced games. biggrin
