I am KosetsuKaikyuu.

...Oh, wait, there's supposed to be a space there: "Kosetsu Kaikyuu." It means... I think it means something along the lines of "Reminiscing of Past Glories", and it's supposed to represent a recent trend of my swiftly changing obsessions - relics of the past.

...Well, okay, relic, singular -- MahJong. Not the tile-matching game that can be found on some older computers, but the real, gritty, down-to-earth gambling game of wits, luck, skill, and ivory tiles. Well, maybe not ivory, but plastic. D*mn this is a fun game.
You guys should try it, seriously.

...Well, okay, relics, plural -- I've also picked up fortune-telling with the I Ching. Ever seen one of those nifty-looking Chinese octagons that look like a series of broken and un-broken lines going around each of the eight sides in three layers? If you break that octagon into eight equal pieces, divided at the corners, you would have the eight Trigrams, which represent the forces of the Universe that are constantly at play in your life. By learning which two of the Trigrams are the most active in your life of late, you can determine what course of action to take, or whether you should take any action at all. It's pretty interesting, if you ask me.

Oh, and Chinese Cooking - American style, that is (I have no idea what real Chinese cooking tastes like). Love for the wok, and that spicy Schezuan sauce that goes in Kung Pao Chicken. Mmm... Deep-fried chicken in a spicy sauce with roasted peanuts and celery and chives and those little red peppers which I never touch. Oh, yeah, and Mapo Tofu. Someday, I'll be able to make great [American] Chinese Food for myself and those people who are cool enough to help me in my endeavors.

.......

...Y'know, if it weren't for the fact that all of this was inspired by random anime I've been watching recently, I'd have a Chinese username instead of this Japanese one I'm sporting. -_-;;

Oh, and love for the color orange, and my Girlfriend. Hi, anata!

I'm not *completely* clueless about what I want to do post-graduation. I'm just not pursuing a career that requires a specific major. Despite what a lot of college students (and career coaches) believe, your major doesn't typically have much of a bearing on what you eventually end up doing. My dad makes obscene amounts of money in the consulting business despite having a totally unrelated degree--it's all about how you sell yourself and your skills. Because I don't know what I want to do when I get out of college, I'm going to enjoy my major while I'm here, and take lots of interesting classes to find out what I want to do with my life (since my financial situation is pretty safe to do that, and I'm working on making it safer).

Anywho, I don't really have any huge projects I'm working on...I still dabble in writing from time to time, but I've set aside my novels for the time being because I kept getting frustrated with the brick walls I was running into. I'll revisit them when I have more inspiration (and time!)

...I'd thwack you on the head back for not having a beyond-graduation plan, but then you'd probably try to castrate me with my own bokken or something. But seriously, Hiro-chan? You need to figure something out. I used to be an English major, but then I figured out really quickly that it wasn't going to take me along any career paths I wanted to take. Do you have a scholarship? 'Cause otherwise it's going to be a b***h paying off your college loans. Being a Graphic Designer at least is going to pay my bills: I can worry about writing manuscripts when I have a stable financial situation.

I'm going to be busy for a lot longer than the next few years! User Image But yeah, thanks. Do you have any projects you're working on? Not school projects, y'know... stuff like my manga, a big ol' project that you really just want to work on rather than your schoolwork?

*thwaps upside the head* no no bad bad! Just because I'm a Latin major does not mean that I'm going to teach the language. I'm just taking it because I'm enjoying it. Haven't a clue what I'll do once I get out of college. But it is a relatively rare major--I'm guessing it's only because I'm at such a large school that it's even available. Apparently, despite the huge student population here, there's only about 25 Latin majors at any given time! In any case, it is a lot of fun, and I figure that since I'm not interested in a job that requires a specific major (like engineering...or art), then I'll take a major that I like and figure out what to do afterward.

Fencing sounds awesome...there's a fencing club here at my school, but I've never really had the time (or been brave enough) to try it myself. Glad to hear you're enjoying it! And definitely good luck with the manga...you sound like you'll be very busy for the next few years!

Hehe, NaNoWriMo! Good luck with it--sounds like an interesting novelization of the Gaia Halloween situation User Image I value what little is left of my sanity, so I will not be joining this year. Perhaps next.

Congrats on your change to art major--I hope you have fun with that! Also, nice job on the learning Japanese...I gave up after a few months (and my tutor moving away). I'm a Latin major though, so I'm still in language. I am in college, second year actually, with enough credits to technically be a junior. My brother and I have been getting along very well--actually, I miss him a lot, so I'm glad I'm going home this weekend to see my family. Besides college, I'm on the gymnastics team which is a lot of fun, and good exercise too! You doing any extracurriculars?
