The Details

First off, my name is Verónica. I'm an island girl raised in the metropolitan area of sunny Puerto Rico. I just finished my degree on Magazine Journalism & English and Textual Studies in the US. I'm currently living in a shitty MA neighborhood, but I hope I'll make it to Boston soon enough. I miss home 99% of the time yet I enjoy having my own place... although I should admit the place is too small, my neighbors are crazy, I'm too messy, and I need new furniture.
I want to do my master's on Publishing. I still have to apply for schools and take the GRE, but that won't be a problem, I survived college.
My dream is to make my own magazine. I have too many ideas in my head, which at times paralyze me. I want colorful pictures, good interviews with interesting people. I want articles by freelance writers, and amusing music/movie/book reviews. I want to reach out to people and break the Vogue stereotype. Meaning, more to read less to sell.
I have an obsession with foreign horror films. It all started when I saw the original Dark Water. After that, I can't stop using Netflix to check out what's new and old in the genre. I recently saw Rec and loved it. Creepy. I love the thrill. American horror movies are beginning to suck compared to what is coming up in the international sector.
Before I'm 25, I'd like to make a trip around the world. I want to visit Spain, Japan, Thailand, Egypt, South Korea, Greece, Italy, France, England, Turkey, and I haven't made my mind up yet about Russia. I love cities... but I hate the fact that I don't have any money to buy cool stuff when I go to them. I also like variety. I love Latin America and I've visited many countries, my favorites being Costa Rica and Peru, but I think I should give a chance to the rest of the world.
I love making friends. The few that I cherish mean the world to me. There's nothing like having a movie night, ordering greasy Chinese food, drinking cheap wine, and having a pointless conversation with those you love.

i freak out easily. i enjoy making things look better. i have difficulty knowing when to shut up. grocery shopping is therapeutic for me. i have a shitload of clothes, but i always wear the same thing over and over again. religion is not for me. my high school years are a blur. people perplex me. i don't drink much, but when i do, beware. i dislike being home. routines frustrate me yet disorder overwhelms me. i get along with my parents. i hate public bathrooms. money is literally dirty. i suffer from chronic procrastination. my bags always get lost in airports. i love sleeping. radio shows are exhilarating. my parents party more than i do. i don't know what i'm going to do when i finish college. i want to own a magazine. i have a weakness for glossy magazines. i dislike trends. you will never see me in high heels. i read, a lot. i have a love/hate relationship with my siblings. i'm a dork. i get stupider by the minute. life drama sucks. my honesty can be brutal. i hate rap. i don't think people screaming is music. i find order in clutter. i like world music. ignorance makes me weep. i curse. i'm selfish, but i care. i can't hide emotions. i can't pronounce emo. i have a short attention span. i'm a thumb-sucker, yet my dad is a dentist. i'm picky. yellow is depressing. most of the mail i get is spam. i can't see movies more than twice. i'm opinionated. words can't FULLY describe me.
