Someone I know,
for one reason or another thought that chartruse was burgundy!
She said that at a camp they sang a song about several chartruse buzzards singing in a dead tree.

Once, I was drivin' along on some pleasant country road in the middle of Conneticut, when out of the corner of my eye, I spied a house. It was an ordinary house, just like the one you or I live in, except for one eldritch and perverse factor. It was PAINTED CHARTREUSE. Oh that outrageous and ostentatious hue! For one split second my eyes were glued to its gleaming, radioactive-waste colored walls. My eyes grew wide and my pupils dilated and then, I lost it. My brain completely imploded in upon itself and I lost all control of my physical functions. Of course, by then I was completely unable to steer my car and ended up swerving into a tree. My vehicle exploded on cotact with the tree, catalyzing a chain reaction. As soon as my vehicle exploded, the state of Conneticut went up in smoke, next went the United States, and then the entire continent. Following those evets, the entire world blew up and went plummeting into the Sun. Upon impact with the Sun, an humungous explosion ensued, causing our galaxy to go supernova, all because some IDIOT decided to paint their house f*ing chartreuse! mad
