She laid in the rain with no sight
Love had torn her apart
now cold, distant as so
once a gentle heart

She always was caught up in the rain
never complaining, always hating
but she wanted the boy with the umbrella so badly
to take her out and show her love

So the girl wandered near and far
waiting for true love, the one
but sadly this all ended
with a click of the gun

so heed my warnings
be careful in love
you might just end up
like the girl in the rain.
