The value of things and the cost of living really is insane. Back in the 70s, our parents were paying 10% of their income on shelter and food. Now we're paying closer to 70% on the same minimum wage. We don't have living wages, they just aren't moving or keeping pace at all with what people need to survive. Part of being in a bad situation is thinking that others have it worse...but please don't downplay what you're going through, I never would have been strong enough to do what you're doing. My own problems seem insignificant by comparison and aren't really worth mentioning. I'm still staggered by the new chapter of stress you're going through.

I understand those feelings. I don't know anything about houses or California to help you either. I can feel your despair and stress and I'm sorry. You've been fighting so hard and there's way too many questions and random variables that just keep coming into this. I really hope you get to the point you can quit the second job, and eat every meal a day. I assure you, your life is one of the scariest and wildest ones, and you're still managing it through sheer force of will. You're incredible.

Would you be able to slowly move towards selling your home for more than you bought it for, and getting to somewhere else? You've been burning the wick at both ends for a few years now. It's okay to vent about this stuff, your life is painful and hard and you have every reason to want it to change. There's been so many unexpected problems. I know you thought you could get through the fees fast and pay it off and just live simply, but things like this tax increase are terrifying.

Holy gods. Are you sure it isn't a scam? Because that's insane! Did they tell you exactly what voters approved, like the bill/measure? It's ridiculous, you work yourself to the bone to just keep that roof over your head. You should be receiving benefits programs, not getting hit by extra tax! T. T

Have you been okay? I know you're crazy busy and the house situation wasn't great. We're still seeing about two plat dolls a month, with a slight increase in the number of other types popping up in shop. A PP a month, a golden or mini a month (there's one tomorrow/today, 11/2!), a ruby a month. The rubies in particular have been really regular. I think it bodes well for custom. It's still just painfully slow, with so many people stuck in 2017/2018.
