Z. would glance up at the noise, actually almost jumping at it. "Oh...hello...." she spoke rather idly, clearly either not caring that she was in any kind of trouble, or not understanding. "You're rather odd looking, aren't you? Are you one of the dream things?" she would ask, examining him as if trying to determine if he were real or not. It was probably clear from the massive bags under her eyes that she wasn't known for getting much sleep, which may or may not have been contributing to her attitude or behaviors. "Sorry, I can't stay and chat, the police will want me to pay for this window, and I'm afraid I haven't any money." Since she hadn't technically stollen anything, she was much more worried about the fine than being arrested.
Z. was awake at last, it seemed the only time she could ever manage to sleep was during the day. As the sun began to set, she would rise and begin her travel through the city. She was still tired, one hour of sleep was not enough! But she knew better than to try for more, when the creatures of the night were demanding her attention. Not that the humans would notice. They'd see a down trodden girl walking sleepily about, there was no way for them to see the creature floating by her side, claws gripping her shoulders as it whispered instructions in her ears. "I'm too tired...I want more sleep..." she complained, but the creature persisted. There was something nearby which it wanted, something in that shop over there. A gem of sorts, kept behind the glass. "If I get it for you, will I be able to sleep?" it lied to her, it told her yes, and she headed for the destination, for the jewelry store it was stored in. The shop was closed, of course, but Z. was too tired to care about much of anything. So went around to the alley way in order to find a big and heavy enough item, dragging it back to the front, and chucked it into the glass display window, making the loud alarm sound right away. "There. it's open for you..." she told the creature, which sprang into the shop. The gem it wanted was behind more glass, however, and it motioned her inside. "In there? Come on, I already set the alarm off! You'd better be quick!" she told it, climbing in and cutting her hand on the broken glass. She found the glass, and smashed it as well, allowing the creature to scoop up the gem. "There you go." she muttered, moving groggily to climb back out the window and hoping the police would still be a while, glaring at the gash in her hand. Stupid creature, stupid grubby creature with it's grubby hands and wanting gems in shops ways!
Sure! Would you be willing to start us off? And yeah, I know what you mean. So many websites, including this one, everyone seems to be divided into cliques of sorts. it's really stupid. o_O
I'm stressed out. burned out. like butter thats been spread too thin. I feel a horrible sense that has yet to be named. a name that escapes me yet is at the tip of my tongue.
