There was a little spark and a flash of light in the little black eye of the 'thing' they had created. The Thing moved slightly, first the brightly colored tail and then the left fin. Then, as though it had been cought in a trap that it was trying with all its might to break free from, it leapt into the air with such a rapid movement that the scientists working on the project jumped. It swam about through the air looking around. Slowly it would approach an object and swim around it so as to see it from every side. When it finished it had a perfect three-dimentional picuter in its computer brain and would go on to the next object in the room until it knew its surroundings perfectly.
"We have created a beautiful robotic fish that swims through the air!" one of the scientists later told his boss. "It is perfect!"
"It is useless, a waste. Get rid of it." said his miserly boss.
The scientist did as his boss told him to and threw the 'usless' Thing away after disconecting its power source. But little did he know the Thing still worked. After being left in a dumpster it swam off into the sky.
Many years later the Thing known as Issy still swam the skys looking for a Dream, the only thing she couldn't do.

And to this day she looks for dreams.
