all i know is you were polite and receptive of both opinions.. which is good. =D Oh, and that tennis helped you with badminton... hmm.. probably because tennis is the basics, and the basics are always good for a more complex sport. ;D

BECAUSE. let's see.
badminton, you are constantly moving, not only just side to side and sometimes up and down, like in tennis, but your reactions also need to always be quick, as the opponent can easily fake you out, and instead of going to back, they net it in the front.
(that was a huge run-on sentence lol xD) That "start" or moment when your reflexes kick in, is a LOT more energy than watching the ball come to a point, BOUNCE, then hit it. Your reaction time is spread out a lot further, therefore, less energy is required. Plus, in badminton, you don't really grunt too much >.> That build-up of energy and ability to hold back is a sign of strength and perseverance. =) For badminton, everything is about the reaction "start" and then moving fast enough BEFORE THE BIRD DROPS, in order to reach it, and then STRATEGICALLY place it somewhere over the net. Tennis is just, UNGH. UNGH. UNGH. UNGH. YES *fist pump* *won the point because the other guy couldn't run sideways fast enough to get the shot*
OR...it could mean that the fitness is so intense that most people would feel like that anyway..
badminton fitness is hardcore. just as hardcore as soccer, or basketball, or football,.....or -->DANCE.
