My grammy lives in southern california so no freezing issues there lmao! the lowest it gets where she lives is 65 degrees! I moved from cali to colorado and experienced snow for the very first time 4 years ago. since then, I've been to South Korea and now live in Missouri. South Korea got COLD but it didn't snow the year I was there. Missouri has ice storms, not snow storms. I was surprised by that! My husband got stranded in the cul de sac and couldn't get in the house during the last one. He couldn't get any traction on the concrete so I had to rescue him with a rope and pull him back in the house, HAH! Every time he tried taking a step forward, he slid back to where he started XD He cried, "babyyyyyyyy!!" each time he slid down the driveway. At one point, he hopped on the grass and got most of the way but one stem on the iced over cement and he slowly slid back down to the cul de sac. It was hilarious! Almost like the scene from titanic but instead of being tragic, it was comedic.
a pipe burst in front of my grammy's house and it caused her kitchen to flood. She had to redo the whole kitchen because the pipe ran under the house also lol I just got a house and i hope i don't get any problems like that!
do you play anything other than the piano? I was in my high schools marching band and played the flute biggrin Playing music wasn't fun for me though, I only played it because both my parents were in marching band.
haha! that is too funny! I started crocheting when my aunt bought me a little kit in 6th grade but i only played around with the needles for a week because i never understood how to add a row without gaining an additional stitch. I would try to make an even number of stitches in each row but i would either add more or take them away accidentally so i would end up with a pyramid square or some obtuse triangle. i just picked up my needle 14 years later haha
yeah! a scarf is the perfect first project. you can see where you make mistakes and how to fix them. starting with a hat would have been discouraging for me haha
thanks! haha it is definitely a challenge but I love doing it! I only know how to single crochet and double crochet at the moment but at the end of my project I'm going to need to learn how to do a scalloped edge xD I took knitting lessons with an older woman but I learned how to crochet via youtube! you should add me as a friend!
i've been a work-a-holic D; I work 6am-2:30pm and when I get home I crochet for my private business. Just made a shop on Etsy and am trying to build up my inventory and create new designs/products.
