...a seemingly unrelated news bit about Eunice Kennedy Shriver's death is bringing her life's focus on advocacy for the disabled into this picture at an appropriate time. I just hope people are seeing a connection!
Thank you for the link...I find the overall concept exceptionally interesting given Obama's own background! I am thrilled to see 'the people'/voters taking such a determined stand ~ it's great, isn't it? I believe we are seeing amazing strides in educating the general population.
I am distressed by what the administration is putting forward and the backing it is receiving by politicians, organizations (including AARP) *can't figure that one out!~guesses its about the money* and the media. sweatdrop
Interestingly, I took several items with varying viewpoints (discussing the health care inituative) into my Critical Thinking class and had them study the material. They (as I had been) were shocked at what we were NOT being told about this entire proposition: namely how it would affect seniors. Also the idea that doctors would be REQUIRED to counsel patients (in many cases: mostly terminal) how they can shorten their lives thereby not running up insurance costs!! eek To my way of thinking, this is not acceptable.
