About

Hey. Welcome to my profile. Perhaps your here to just see more about me or because you have nothing better to do. Either way, here we go.

My name is Stefan, Stephen, Steveo, Steve or suchlike. I'm at my best whilst doing something painful. For a brief overview, paintballing, airsoft, snowboarding and if I go abroad to a desert, duneboarding.

On Gaia I can either be found in the GD or Barton Town. My english isn't perfect yet but give it a year or so, I'll be fluent. And to help me every step of the way is my trusty German-English dictionary, as well as all those great people in Barton Town.

Some other interests of mine are playing instruments. At the moment I am grade 7 on the drum kit, grade 5 on the bass guitar and I recently started to practice playing the piano. I go for my first grading on the 6th September!

Memorable event's in my life:

o Going to America to participate in a massive paintball tournament, which was reconstruction of the D-Day landings. Me and my friends who came with me managed to wipe out the inhabitants of a whole bunker with one smoke grenade and alot of very trigger-happy fingers.
o Doing a massive snowboard freestyle day at the beginning of 2007. Managed to get myself on youtube! If you look in my multimedia, I'm the one at 1:53, 2:13 and 2:35! What a great day.
o Breaking my arm on a long run down a mountain, and still managing to get to the bottom without any help. That hurt...
oTerminator moment with the light-machine gun at the local paintballing tournament. That was great.

For all of you who enjoy reading, I'm writing a book, in english. I owe a huge favour to all my english friends, my publisher and alot of other people (you know who you are) for helping me deal with the translation and getting me through the sea of commas, semi-colons and other unmentionables. The first five chapters can be found in my web log.

I get through life as a salsa instructor. I love dancing in all it's forms, particularly the few days my group sometimes go over to Barcelona to dance, often being very badly outshone my some of the Spanish dancers. I swear all their joints are disconnected...

I also do African drumming workshops as a volunteer, which allows me to visit places in Africa such as Kenya, Tanzania and Botswana to learn from some of the locals. As far as learning the language goes, there are so many different languages and dialects that I don't have the faintest chance. Regardless, I still love the experience.

People I'd like to mention:

o Mattias - The one and only Mattias. He's been snowboarding with me since the start. Every single snowboarding event in my life, from my broken arm to broken back, he's been there. Gotta love him.
o Richard, Nikolaus, Silvester and Agathe - My paintballing squad. We were the ones to overthrow the bunker at the D-Day landing, and as a team, we've mangaged to scrape some trophies at local tournaments. Out of these people, the person I would most want to avoid a gunfight with is Agathe. She has the fastest trigger fingers out of us all, and has no mercy. She won't hesitate to keep shooting even when your down. I should know...
o Joel, Rob and Jonathan - My buds in Britain. Whenever we have the cash we organize holidays to Namibia and Egypt to go duneboarding and quad biking. Gotta say the best moment I've had with them is during a camel ride when Jonathan got on the wrong side of a camel. I still reckon that that camel fart has tainted his skin forever.
