My name is Horatio and, ironically enough*, one of my main interests is nautical history (both military and civilian). This love of all things nautical naturally branches out to an appreciation of science fiction dealing with space travel, and NASA. Be it vessels for water or the vacuum of space, ships of all manner catch my interest.

I do a fair amount of reading, and some of my favorite authors are C. S. Forester, David Weber, Patrick O'Brian, and Naomi Novik. For music, I enjoy jazz, Cuban/Caribbean, and tejano.


*Yes, I am a fan of the Horatio Hornblower books and tv series.
