Religion: The opiate of the masses (to quote an otherwise foolish man). I simply can not respect anyone who believes in a higher power.
Communism vs Capitalism: Communism is just idealistic foolishness that undermines its own basic concept. It cannot be sustained without a centralized, totalitarian government; a huge threat to the alleged freedom that communism desires. Some must have power over others, further undermining the basic concept of total equality. Not to mention it just doesn't work on a global scale (the average yearly earnings per capita of everyone on the planet is a triple digit number, iirc).
Guns: Come get them from my cold dead hands. Not that I own any. The point is, the government needs to fear its subjects, or else we become, well, the UK. And they're a ******** terrifying totalitarian police/nanny-state. As some random bumper sticker said, "when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns." Do you not want the chance for some vigilante to save your smug a** from an armed robber or rapist or whathaveyou?
Race: all races have equal potential. All can be equal. Foolish cop-outs like affirmative action and scholarships that brazenly (as in, they explicitly say they) "prefer minority students" only undermine this concept and fuel the racial inequity that they allegedly try to combat. Like the naacp. Calling black people "colored" is taboo, but they're still the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People?
Gender: Don't give me any bullshit about women having it more difficult. Every time I hear a salary difference statistic, it's not only unique, but also either usually based on the median wage, which is a bullshit way to get the general idea. Beyond that, it's usually a case study of one company, if not just of one building, usually meaning that the CEO is male and has nine female secerataries. If that's not enough, just look at the case of Christine English. She murders her boyfriend and gets NO TIME NO FINE NO SENTANCE WHATSOEVER because she was vulnerable at that time of the month. No pity for the period from me. No buying the more-emotional-ergo-vulnerable bullshit by me.
******: The legal age of sexual consent (for either gender) in romania is 10. Are you bigotted against romanians? The age of consent is arbitrary; however we simply don't have the means to tell who is seriously consenting and who isn't, but I think it's possible on post-pubescent so-called victims.
Teleiophilia: I believe it exists, somewhere out there.
Homosexuality: Not a choice. To male dissenters: Don't even pretend you've never enjoyed or would never enjoy lesbian pornography. You would persecute them? Hypocrite.
Video Games as a cause for violent behavior: Obviously bullshit. If video games caused violent behavior, like "dr." Phil, Jack Thompson, Hillary Clinton, and any number of other politicians would have you believe, there would be a serial killer on every street corner. Hot Coffee was a painful reminder that they have no idea what they're talking about; the mod violates the EULA that should protect Rockstar games from this kind of bullshit. You can't get to the sex mini-game without violating this EULA no matter how hard you try, and trust me, I did (the mod was removed by the creator out of respect for rockstar).
Pro-Life vs Pro-Choice: You can't have pro vs pro. That's quixotic bullshit. I'm anti-life. I favor abortion and the death penalty. Abortion because an unwanted, underprivaliged baby would be better off not being born in the first place, and the death sentance because the government and the people should show criminals that we aren't soft and weak when it comes to punishment of more serious crimes.
Pirates vs Ninjas: Pirates. Ninjas are always hyped up to bullshit levels in this argument. Honestly though, which movie did you like better, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, or any of the Pirates of the Carribean? The market has spoken: Pirates.
Music Piracy: Bullshit. Any good artist makes all their money off of touring and merchandise, ******** the RIAA, etc.
Movie Piracy: Don't care. Hollywood makes far more money than it deserves and celebrities are treated like royalty for doing they only thing they really should do; be someone else. They don't deserve the business, and giving them the money they get only encourages them to make terrible, terrible movies. Movie executives don't even pretend to make movies based on how good they are, just on how much money they'll make. So let's drain some of that out of the system.
Video Game Piracy: Entirely different story. Video Game companies sell the game for their profit, you are stealing directly from them when you pirate a game. Don't do it. And don't buy used games either, that's the same thing except that it costs you money and feeds Gamestop/Ebgames, which are fundamentally just video game centered pawn shops.
Atheism vs Agnosticism: Atheism, all the way baby. Don't pull that brain-in-a-vat, uncertanty, flawed perception bullshit on me. A working assumption about the universe is of course going to include the possibility that you're incorrect. It's possible to be convinced about something without being irrational. Of course dogma is bad, but atheism doesn't have to be dogmatic. Religion does (red flag!).
evangelism vs live-and-let-live types: Evangelists, man. Your religion probably dictates evangelism. Besides that, no matter what you worship, isn't it a real d**k-move to let someone suffer for eternity just so you don't have to be confrontational? That's why I'm an evangelical atheist. Don't waste your life worshipping a god you sort of have a gut feeling might be nice enough not to torment the ******** out of you for eternity if you follow ritualistic foolishness and waste your life on the *possibility* that they exist. Faith is not a good thing, and people know this.
Legally migrating residents from Mexico: Love them. they contribute tax money, foreign culture, and a strong work ethic to our society.
Illegally migrating residents from Mexico: C'mon over! They normally take stuff that I don't want, and if they have a decent job, they're probably close enough to a legal resident that I'm fine just calling them americans.
america's current administration: ******** took habeas corpus and I want it back. Other than that, I'm not going to rant against them like it's trendy to do, primarily because any and all good points have already been said.
Recreational Drug Use: It's fine by me. I do caffiene. Can you claim that 50% or more of your friends on your friends list don't do some recreational drug? (alcohol counts.)
