Glad to hear it. Yeah, thanks to a winter storm coming, church services tomorrow are cancelled. But outside of work or church, I'm trying to do my first platformer game with Godot Game Engine. The stuff is tricky for new-timers... but aren't all things?
I asked him if the new fishing will basically be just a remastered version of the original, or if it will be different with new features and what not. He said it will be completely different, more of a focus on hang out spaces, gameplay will be easier. I'm assuming it wont be flash but he didn't say... I'm intrigued that it will be different, but also a little worried since there's so much nostalgia attached to the original....

Eh, possibly but it's still bad. Very similar to how it was when it was first opened to open beta...except no memory leaking. The visual for the gold drop is what's causing it. I had some lag before it was taken down but not this bad. I used IE too, where as now I'm using Chrome.

Hopefully, and possibly crew up together? I've been kinda wary of going on with all of the lag that's been going on with the servers. The last few times, especially the last run I went on was giving me flashbacks of how bad it was back in early open beta....at least with running through and clearing both the Shallow Seas and Sealab. lol
I haven't experienced that much lag since my first S.S.+EB run throughs to get the badge/recipes for beating him. Though zOMG always had a tendency of being somewhat laggy anyways, but I remember it being so much laggier in the early-early days of open beta with all of the glitches and memory leaking which they then fixed...sort of...at least the memory leaking was fixed and the lag was somewhat reduced too along with EB no longer being able to regenerate hp at extremes like he did... But yeah the lag was just horrifyingly bad that recent run... lol sweatdrop
Might've been the gold drop animations contributed a lot to the lag. But eh, it might settle some over time since the game's just been brought back and there's a lot of traffic on the servers.
