Hello Everyone! I am GS Sailor Coronis. One of Gaia's one and only official Sailor Knights.
I am one of the more mysterious Senshi. I show up but twice in the series and never in a full picture. I am from a planet called Coronis. Hence my Sailor mantra. Coronis is the planet were intelligent birds come from. I am in esscense the raven or crow Sailor. I probably have white or black wings to symbolize this. Other characters also come for this planet such as
Phobos,
Deimos, and
Sailor Lead Crow. My Planet was eventually destroyed by
Sailor Galaxia. I was killed long before that by Sailor Lead Crow. She took my star seed so she could become a Senshi but since she was evil she was eventually killed by
Sailor Moon.
I have been reborn to Gaia to help right the wrongs and fulfill the mission I never got to complete. Helping keep the world free of evil.
If you have read the anime in it's English version, I am also referred to as Sailor Colenis.
In Greek Mythology, Coronis is the name of a daughter of Phlegyas, King of the Lapiths, was one of Apollo's lovers. Pregnant with Asclepius, Coronis fell in love with Ischys, son of Elatus. A crow informed Apollo of the affair and he sent his sister, Artemis, to kill Coronis. Her body was burned on a funeral pyre, staining the white feathers of the crows permanently black. Apollo rescued the baby performing the first caesarean section and gave it to the centaur Chiron to raise. Phlegyas was irate and torched the Apollonian temple at Delphi and Apollo killed him.
She could also be the daughter of King Coronaeus of Phocis, she fled from Poseidon and was then changed into a crow by Athena so she could escape.
It is said the Coronis could also be one of the Hyades.
Or she could even be the mother of Asclepius by Apollo. Even before she gave birth to Asclepius she cheated on Apollo. Raven informed Apollo of her infidelity and the god killed her (according to others it was Artemis). Before her body was consumed on a funeral pyre, Apollo saved the life of his son. Since then, raven have black feathers where before they were white.
In any case she is heavily related to the ravens.
