Hey, I'm sorry I didn't see your comment on my profile from nine days ago. Must have missed the notification or something... Only reason I saw it was because I was giving my profile a bit of a renovation. Anyway, deism is knowledge of God based on the application of reason on the designs/laws found throughout nature, which presuppose a Designer. Deism is therefore more of a natural religion and not a "revealed" religion. Basically, by the use of my own reasoning and experience, I have determined for myself that there is indeed a "Great Architect". I believe that each person has their own way to connect to this being in a way, but that ultimately they are the ones who control their own lives. Which means Heaven and Hell isn't really in there, since I think that if God is really as kind and loving as Christians say, then why would he want to burn you for all eternity and then kill you in some battle? As for praying, I believe that it is really just one's intent that makes something happen--as has been scientifically proven and I myself have used to my advantage. Of course, I still respect all religions, and have a feeling that in a way, everyone has the same basic God, and just connect to It in different ways.
