There was a parade passing through town in the middle of the night. Gideon heard it. No one else seemed to. He snuck out the window of his orphanage bedroom and followed the music. He found it was a parade of the undead! When one of the creatures wasn't looking he stole an eye mask and joined the procession. He followed them to the Undead City. He became one of them. Many years later he returned to the land of the living with no memory of his time in the dark realm. With an inexplicable ability called "Second Sight" Gideon joined the Rangers of Rul and began building a friendship with Sand Silver and Cadman Drex.
