Also runway was interesting but it's plagued with cheaters (at least when I was active?) Did they ever fix runway?
I have little desire to interact with that feature anymore as well.

I used to be happy when an item came in a color I liked! It was like a happy surprise!
Now it's just kind of like yeah okay that item is popular. users are going to recolor it to death.
It's really hard for me too not to just make an avatar in a color scheme now due to the shoddy awful avatar maker.
Tektek was honestly so much better since it sorted by color and other subcategories. And it closed like years ago!
I mean I do like a few color schemes like catharsis or vain but it kind of sucks to see an item only in one scheme.
I was okay with cash shop recolors of some limited stuff because sometimes they were some change? Like the march recolors or the nekola series.
I think I just fool around with my items, get frustrated, and never finish ahah. It's so hard to make something now. I really despise the av maker.
Gaia's items in my eyes are really pretty and my fav out of all the avatar maker sites.
Yeah I popped in that project recolor thread years ago and had to leave when everyone was just patting each other on the back and congratulating people for recolors.
It was kind of special maybe with the first tickets? But there's so many tickets now it just feels like overpriced kickstarter tiers to me that people would pledge at.

Yeah I liked seabreeze too but then decided to consolidated on other color schemes haha. It's a nice color scheme for sure! It's easy on the eyes and i like the brown.
And yeah people do seem to recolor more for profit and a sense of elite-ism.

It does seem like Gaia has a history of failed projects. Monster Galaxy, zOMG (I loved it when it came out though!), etc.
It's kind of sad that Gaia hasn't been able to expand past the forums. The forums really no longer holds my attention nor do I even have the desire to post and chat with people haha.
I think I also had a burst of hope when lanzer returned and there were some positive changes like tackling inventory. However, I am disappointed that there really isn't anything that different.

My WL isn't even a WL anymore. It's just items I follow that I don't really need. I can't remember the last item I wanted so much I would sell everything for it.
Yeahhh for sure the whole tickets and congratulating people for getting them and stuff. It does breed a weird elitism culture.
I kind of roll my eyes when people dominate a color scheme too or demand gaia to make a new color scheme. Makes for good business planning though ahaha. I remember when seabreeze first came out and I just liquidated everything I had in that scheme for profits. I feel like it definitely diluted the creativity. There are items in a bazillion colors now and it's no more of a feat to get an avatar to color match anymore. I remember feeling happy and proud when I got random items to work together.
I haven't tried any RIGs recently. I just lurk SF a lot haha so I saw lots of people ranting about that. Tbh don't think I'll ever play a recent RIG again.
I do agree that it is nice for Gaia to rerelease stuff. You could probably make a nice av for cheap now too.
I'm okay! Internship and school are pretty fun. I thankfully don't have to worry too much for other responsibilities so I can handle it.

I feel like a lot of the creativity that Gaia once had is kind of lost? New items are so sparse and there is flood of recolors.
Rates for new RIGs are low and gatcha and lucky catch are just a cash grab scheme in my eyes :/

Well I dunno what to talk about but the game focuses on events and exploration. And also skill. You get de-leveled to match the monsters around you.
So I like it! Really different from all the Asian side scrolling MMOs I play.

Oh yeah the avatars are much smaller.
Recently though Gaia has been pushing more body mods to help complement the hand and big feeeeets.
Gaia has been putting some animated items more frequently but they're really not super animated.
