PUT SOME CLOTHES ON!
Using a machine gun to hide the hardware ain't such a smart thing to do.

There's plenty. It's just a matter of 1. Finding them 2. Hoping you share similar interests and 3. Hoping they aren't too busy with school/work/overwhelmed with other RPs at the moment sweatdrop

Someone told me about a site called FOG (somethingsomethingGhost) awhile back, but when I signed up and checked it out it was like a ghost town. Not that there weren't people there, but the last post from anyone looking for a roleplay/partner was something like two weeks before I signed up. Haven't been on since because it seemed a little too specific for my needs, but you could try it out. If you find another, better, roleplaying medium, feel free to share it with me.

That's not to say that you should be so quick to give up on Gaia. Just understand that you may be here awhile in a search for a really good RPer. On the plus side, though, there's a VERY wide selection of genres available because there's just so many people on this site.

Wow, really? I'd heard that cougars enjoyed the movie for all the young, shirtless meat, but I didn't think that also involved the book. In my defense, however, I try to avoid anything relating to Twilight that doesn't leap out of the monitor and stab me in the face. (Meaning if it ain't on failblog, I likely won't see it wink )

Sadly, it's not the roleplaying forum it used to be years ago. Most of the older crowd quit playing once they hit college, so every year good roleplayers are pushed aside by yippy yaoi fanatics. Fandoms are also a really big thing so if you enjoy TV/Movie/Book/Anime based RPs I'd suggest browsing the Series-Based section or just wandering through the OOC for a little longer. Barton Town has gone to utter crap, though. Can't find a decent (read: intelligent, literate) group RP to save my life.

You forgot the target age range but otherwise, that's a very accurate description of it.

Just a suggestion: You may consider adding a sample list of your RPing interests unless you're open to everything. Otherwise you'll be presented with ideas from all walks of life. Like a Giant Girl RP (don't ask, I have no idea. I just remember a guy offering to pay gold to anyone willing to do that with/for him)

The worst part is, in the strictest definition, meets the criteria for being a 'good book': It has outrageous sales, a fan club to give you nightmares, and is making movies about as quickly as the Harry Potter books. That being said I won't concede to it being labeled 'literature'. I played D&D growing up. Vampires ate people and werewolves were contagious. 'Nuff said.

(At least you acknowledge your mistakes, then put some effort into correcting them. I read an article awhile back that said 'definitely' was one of the single most misspelled words online)

I'm sure whoever they are, they have friends. I wouldn't put it past them to be Twilight fans, either. Call it a hunch.

I think whoever started that rumor needs to have nine of their fingers broken. Just because it's more insulting that way

Kudos to you on knowing the difference between literacy and post length. You can't imagine how much it bothers me when people define literacy as "5+ paragraphs/post" stare
