hmm, sis, thing is, if we did believe that LOTR was real, it's true. it's actually based on christianity if you didn't know. he was a great christian J.R tolkien. and well, it did represent the good and the bad really well, if one understood such language used. but that's besides the point. i know it is indeed very difficult to belief what others may think, hear or say. it's like that. one can only belief when one actually sees and feels the holy spirit touching deep down. it's an unexplainable event, really. when it happens, it just does. you feel it. you accept it. you know it was a miracle. how would it feel if you knew it was a miracle and others don't belief you? upset, right?

I kind of did figure that you are an atheist. I have a god sister who is an atheist as well. It is always hard to pursuade or influence an atheist i feel, they don't seem to give in, always determined to prove their stand complete. XD. anyway, i do beg to differ though, the human body may be a fantastic machine designed by (depends on who you think did). But, it cannot withstand too adverse conditions and influence from external events. If so, then why do some people die and some do not? And most of the time, you have heard that through prayers, by faith, they are saved. It is not always the case though, i know. Sometimes, people do not die because, as a christian, we believe that one will not die until one's purpose in life is actually fulfilled.

With regards to the comment you gave me on my profile about 'GOD', this is my response.
Many people do feel the same way you feel, i do have to admit. However, there is this one thing that people do hold onto and that is 'faith' and 'hope' for a better eternity. scientists do indeed explain that god did not create the world and that evolution is actually a fact, they do it so well, that most do believe that 'we are our own god and should live in ecstacy in this world we live in cos there is no god after all'. Many believe scientists, others choose to stay strong and put their feet down, taking a stand in what they belief is true and right. Ultimately, it's what goes on in people's lives that make them turn to the one supreme 'god'. How then do you explain cancers which miraculasly dissapears overnight and people who get thrown into plantations to die after being robbed and stabbed actually live for 2 weeks and get rescued after they witness a shooting star (a sign of a new life)? It is something inexplainable.

Faith: something one beliefs in without seeing.

Many think that seeing is believing. It's your choice. reply in my profile? heart

God is actually a supernatural being whom people worship and praise. I guess, according to their own beliefs. Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Free-thinkers (they are their own gods), Wickan, Muslims and lots more. But ultimately, every religion thinks that their own GOD is the true ONE. And thus, it makes it quite difficult to draw up a conclusion. Actually, if you do study the Quran and bible and analyse, you will find that their accounts are VERY similar. In that, the Quran beliefs that there will be a second coming and so does the bible. The Quran has several names in the bible which, once translated, are actually christian names!! For instance, Yesus in malay is actually Jesus. And numerous other accounts are also similar but if i go on, this page would stretch on for ages. so i'm keeping my mouth shut for now. XD. hope i've somewhat answered your question! heart

God is a being conceived as the perfect, omnipotent, omniscient originator and ruler of the universe, the principal object of faith and worship in monotheistic religions. Often assumed as a male deity....but as your "/" would indicate...its beings sex is undetermined.
