Here's a little autobiography for you to enjoy. My name is Susan. I'm a Dutch female. I turn sixteen on September 30th, but my behaviour ranges from that of a five-year-old to that of a fivehundred-year-old, according to my friends.

My username is basically an adequate summary of the person I am: someone with dreams and fantasies, creativity and spirit, and on the other side, someone who over-thinks a lot, wants to learn everything and values logic.

I'm quite smart, quite insane, and you can throw sarcastic into the mix as well. I love to read, write, draw, sculpt, exercise and skate (ice skating, mind you). I'm also very interested in theatre, history and journalism. My addictions are milk, literature and charcoal.

Some other things you need to know about me; I'm severely allergic to bad grammar. I can't stand smartasses either - mostly because I'm one and I can't swallow the fact that someone might be more smartassy than me. Lastly, I'm overal a nice person. If you deserve it.

OMG I've also been really busy with school. I'm taking a pretty tough Biology course. The material isn't necessarily confusing, but there are so many terms and processes we have to memorize! I'm just glad our school gets out soon.



I've started reading a book called Elantris recently. I'm spacing on the author, but I believe it's Brandon Sanderson. I think its shaping up quite well (pretty good character development); you might want to check it out. User Image

Have you read anything by Charles de Lint? I just started The Little Country during French class today. The writing is beautiful.

I go up to Maine in the summer sometimes, and I'm always trying to get the library to sell me out-of-print books. They become quite concerned over the fact that I never actually withdraw anything and instead spend hours scribbling down titles.



A limit of book borrowing?! *le gasp* I would die.

I haven't read that! It's going on my list of book to read.



I've started doing that with the Sil. I read it one or two chapters at a time. It's an instant cure for a bad mood.



Have you read A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray? It's not the sort of fantasy I usually go for, but it's quite good.

Oh my! You're definitely much better read when it comes to Tolkien! I started the Tril. in fourth grade, but I was young enough that it couldn't keep my attention span, so I went back to the Hobbit (I became hooked on the Hobbit in second grade). Then last year I watched the movies, bought the platinum extended editions, and read the Sil. I'm now re-reading the Sil, and I plan on giving the Tril. another go after that. Now I have someone to discuss them with as I read them! User Image
