Though she'd expected to be put on cleaning detail, it still didn't lessen the irritation of hearing him say it.
She took it in stride however, along with the fact that she'd have to be mentally prepared to have him barking orders at her from time to time.
Site would commit to doing her best to prevent him from having to snap, if at all possible, or at the least, keep such instances to a minimum.
With a sharp nod, she voiced her assent.

"Aye, Captain!
And just where might I find the supplies?"

She yelped when the iron grip closed around her small wrist, surprised that he'd actually managed to hurt her.
A rare thing, given both her lineage and her upbringing, so he'd earned yet a few more brownie points, but also reaffirmed her suspicion that the man wasn't entirely human.
Cue the saccharine charm as she tilted her head down, looking up at him through her long lashes with a coy grin.
Her voice was just as sweet as she responded.

"I do apologize.
It is only, I did not know how else to get your attention~
It seemed as though maybe you decided not to instruct me, after all.
When do I start~?"

Sure she poked the bear and may have pissed him off, and probably could have merely asked him, but where was the fun in that?
Plus, she'd gotten exactly what she wanted; he once more said yes.
She suspected her tutelage would probably entail a lot of cleaning, which repulsed her ( She hadn't had to do very much of that nasty thing ever through the span of her life), but her tenacity and curiosity far outweighed her revulsion of the thought of using a mop or broom.

She scowled up at him, grabbing a fist full of hair and tugging him down to eye level.
"Do not tell me you are senile already, you are too young! It is rude to agree to mentor someone then forget about them entirely, Captain!
I am starting to believe you really do not know how to pilot this vessel. . ."
There it was, she had challenged his capability, knowing just how vain and prideful the man was regarding the aspects of his life he valued most.
She'd also figured out that there was a golden heart hidden beneath those rough edges, so in one turn she used this to her favor as well.
She really did desire to learn from him, after all, out was said he was one of the best captains around.
No one had been able to tell her of he ever really took on apprentices, but that wouldn't deter her in the least.
Nohime was tenacious, and as charming as any Siren, when She felt the need to be.
As a result, it was a very rare thing indeed for her not to get exactly what she wanted, andc what she wanted was to learn about the ocean, ships, and sailing.

largely due to the fact my saved box is full!
So rather than risk losing the fondness of the account, I locked it and put it away. 3nodding
