I'm Duncan (Nom de plume. I find my real name... boring.), and I like exotic things of all sorts, shapes, and sizes. Here's a list of my favourite exotic things, in fact:

Barbarians (Such an anachronistic term. The barbarian tribes were hardly so uncivilized as the Greeks and Romans would have others believe.)

The British (As an American, I find the Brits somewhat exotic, and am quite the Anglophile. I use British spellings instead of American ones for a reason, you know.)

I'm sure I could add much, much more to this list, but who can think up all their favourite stuff at once?

I also love Star Trek (all series except Enterprise, which I don't hate but never really watched) a great deal, and I find Mr Sulu to be my favourite character and his actor, George Takei, to be my favourite actor.

I came here originally because I wanted to comment on Sulu's fencing technique (looks to me like he should get back to basics) but your profile disarmed me completely. Where did you get the Star Trek theme?
