About

dangerous_jade recently survived the mockery that is American higher education and has started the exciting life of the starving artist. When she's not updating fifteen versions of her resume, she likes to read and write fanfiction. She loves to travel and learn about new cultures, and she considers it a compliment when someone calls her weird. She's opinionated as all hell, but she'll try to love you no matter how much you get on her nerves.

An artist is someone who cannot rest, who can never rest as long as there is one suffering creature in this world. Along with Plato’s divine madness there is also a divine discontent, a longing to find the melody in the discords of chaos, the rhyme in the cacophony, the surprised smile in times of stress or strain.

Tattoo talk sure is fun, hehehehe, and it's not everyday we meet nice people with good chatting skills! =P

You have a very good reason for your tattoos... what better way to remind ourselves of the important things we want than our own body? They kind of become part of us - more than just decoration. I agree completely with the permanent aspect. If it's something importany enough to be "written" in my body, why would I want to erase it?

I guess a lot of people don't think things trough before getting inked... it would save them a lot of pain, it seems like the laser removal is brutal.

I have one on my back too, and it was the only one that truly hurt! When it gets to the shoulderblades... maybe it's the less "meaty" part of our body? But that was something to remember, heehehe!

I get asked a lot too, should have thought of it - it does get annoying, I'm sorry! Didn't think much before posting...

No, it didn't hurt at all! Well, it burned a little... that "tattoo" feeling, but I love it, so it doesn't bother me at all. I have six others and always enjoyed the process. =)

Mine means "The World has Changed", it seems random as hell, lol, but it means a lot to me. Got it done during a time when everything was changing in my life. I like my tattoos to be a "landmark" of important times in my life...

Ok, now I'm just rambling! User Image

I knew I should have picked Greek as my major, lol! User Image

I'm sorry for the missunderstanding, I just thought it looked so much like my tattoo... which unfortunatelly is a bit hard to picture, since it goes around my wrist... I think this was the best I could do: http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo268/sylvanasnerwen/tattoo.jpg

Funny thing, most people assume it's turkish... no one ever asked if it's greek!

Your tattoo is lovely, even more so now that I know the meaning!!
