I buy low and sell high. If you watch the recently added stuff in the MP, sometimes they misprint it, or put it a bit on the low side. If you buy it, and make sure you sell it again, (making sure that the price your selling it for is high enough to give you a profit) you get a little extra. Not a lot usually, but usually 2-3k an item. I do that 15-20 times a day... It adds up. Gotta be careful of the 2% tax though. Might want to have a calculator handy. Can also use the exchange. They usually sell items for quite a bit cheaper than the MP (I bought G-Laurels for 175k under MP from there)
