Everyone faces trauma, eventually, but not everyone handles it the same. Me, I think I've just become numb to it.
Well, to a lot of things. But I know i'm ok as long as I still care for animals. People who have become so numb
that they don't care about anything tend to be indifferent empathically, especially to animals.
And yeah, there's no helping that, insecurity kind of goes away on it's own.
I don't think it's so much human nature than it is fear of the unknown, fear of death. When we die, we all go alone, but
people still want someone there when it happens. That fear manifests itself into an obsession with finding someone.
I'm alone but i'm not lonely and don't have that fear. I've seen death, nearly died myself a few times (going 120MPH on a bike can do that).
Sometimes the call of the void is stronger than the call for companionship.
It's good that you noticed you were doing that, you were probably sending your boy up the wall, but many women don't and keep doing it.
it's all about "mee mee mee" with some people, and I can see you're not like that. Insecure, maaaybe, but not like that. whee
