I primarily use spotify and ngl I've tried so many ways of doing exactly that - enabling recommended similar songs after playlists,
< band's > radio (typically plays similar sounding artists in addition to the band), even spotify recommended playlists for new-to-me artists
that are liked by people like me, etc. Unfortunately, there's a lot of overlap - like idk if the algo is just like recycling the same recs or what,
but for awhile now, it's been unhelpful. However, I have made a few new friends this past year and asking them what they listen to and seeing
if I like it, has expanded it a bit more for me. Then I have a new pool of bands/artists that will hopefully give me newer recs, so at least I'm
getting SOME now lol sweatdrop sorry that was long-winded of me whoops
