Al, my xmas break starts in a couple of weeks still sad - Next week will be really full for me. I have class Monday/TuesdayWednesday... then filming on Thursday/Friday/Saturday... Then the filming might be extended through Sunday... then the long cycle starts again Monday.
Fortunatly, i'm going to waste time on Sunday... hang out with a friend and see Casino Royale at the cinema. People have been making so much fuss about the latest Bond actor having light hair... I'm throughly determinded to like him. Besides, theres a rumour going round that this Bond can actually act. razz
Blasphamy! Nothing can top the rubber duck! - not no way, not no how. I've never really taken with candles, but I like roaring fires in the grate during a cold winter night. I think my family that this year - it just needs to be cold enough.
I haven't read a book in yonks. I read Zadie Smith's "White Teeth" four weeks back actually... but other than that, it's just been work-related books. When I get home late, I just cant be bothered. I just draw. I can still draw when I feel tired.
Darn, I wasn't able to get five comments in a row! ...Ah well better luck next time.
I'm glad you are enjoying "Ruby in the smoke". I remember I brought it, then brought the next two the very next day!
Well, I stayed at home on Halloween, which is all I ever do. we got about three trick-or-treaters at our house... which leaves the mini Mars bars all for me <3
Ack, took me a while to respond this time! - Lots of work recently!
Yup, I get what you mean about recent history. The modern age, though, changes so fast...everything is obsolete if you leave it a week.
I've been thinking of pitching an idea of a comic with my university newspaper. Though before I do that, I want a number of strips already drawn. So they have a solid understanding of what I propose. So hopefully, I'll find time to do that. Oh and Happy Halloween for tomorrow. I actually didn't realise it was tomorrow untill dinner, I thought it was still a week away.
Ah, I never actually finished reading 'The Tin Princess'. It just didn't seem to hold the same appeal as the other 'Sally' books for me. Though maybe I should try and read it again?
I like history, exspecially recent. It's very interesting looking at our current age as a piece of history in itself! I have recently discovered the 'Colindale Newspaper Archives'. They have all pretty much every newspaper published as far back as 200 years ago.
People never seem to understand my love of this place though... sad I'll never understand the modern age.
