Welcome to my gaia profile. My nick name is igymonkey. I like to consider myself a gaia elder since i have been a user since 2006, even though gaia was created well before 2006. I have been a user for almost 6 years. Gaia is my escape from reality, as i'm sure it is for a lot of you.

I have decided to take a different lead on my gaia profile. Kind of like a nature theme, to help others like you and I, to become more aware of the world around us and our connection to nature and earth. I have included a video i found very informational. Even though i am sure that many of you are already aware of Global warming, I would like to take a lead and help those who are not aware or are confused on what really is happening to the world and why there is so much destruction happening in different places all over the world. When it comes down to it, its human selfishness that has lead to the climate change. With amount of pollution and energy we are taking from the earth , its creatures, ourselves and the land, we need to be aware of the causes and what we can do to help slow down the affects of global warming. As many of you know, we cannot stop global warming. We have been polluting and destroying life on earth for not just other species but ourselves for many years already. But if we all stick together and change the things we do in our every day lives to better the environment. We can sure enough help to slow down global warming. So please cut your showers short, reduce, reuse and recycle. Turn off the lights when your not home and dont leave ur tv /computers plugged in when your not using them. Simple things we do in our every day life, can be changed to better the world around us and slow down the extinction of other species, plants and possibly ours.
Take a minute and imagine a world, for your children, and their children and more generations after that, without animals and plants and other things that we need in order to live. We are destroying our own echo system and the natural cycles of nature. I would like to take a minute to thank everyone for taking the time to read my posts and i hope you enjoyed or took into consideration the information in the video.
