oh people create some amazing stuff, i think i just kinda settled on mediocrity lol.
i learned pixel art by editing existing sprites from games, i learned a lot about shading and outlines and stuff from that (even though i hardly ever shade)
honestly the hardest thing about art is just motivation, gaias pretty good for inspiration at least!
pixel art isnt too bad! if you have an art program with layers and a pencil tool you can try it out pretty easy, i usually use sai. and if you wanna give it a solid shot i can give you some tips that i use for pixel stuff!
i also think im bad at art but everyone always disagrees, im sure yours is good too.. do you have any i can view?
oh god thats the worst im so sorry you got ghosted, that happened to me but the other way way back in the day when i tried to do commissions on here, but it was like 3k gold so no loss really lmao
im surprised you remember that too! my art style has changed a million times since then but ive settled on using big pixel brush, maybe you could dm me a pic of your avi without the bg and i could see if i could take a swing at it
but also yea i have noticed people just kinda shy away from pixels these days, idk why! its fun
i feel like i can never truely leave, i got 41k little trash virtual items that i love very much. same with neopets lol.
also i havent really actively posted in forums for prob around 10 years and im still at an average of 3 posts a day. so crazy.
but also this site good inspiration for art, i also remember i drew your avi waaaaay back when i was much worse than i currently am.
kinda wild really, the passage of time. lol
oh same, in an mmo someone came up to me and was like "omg you impacted my experience so much please come to my in-game wedding" and i was like uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sorry no idea who you are, it felt so bad lmao

getting back into gaia with a friend, JUST switched to plat for the first time and adjusting poorly haha
